Maumee, OH, January 2, 2020 – Aktion Associates, Inc., a national software reseller and IT infrastructure provider focused on the Construction, Distribution and Manufacturing industries, today announced the appointment of Bob Black as Vice President, Multi-Industry Division. The appointment was made in response to Aktion’s continued growth and to improve the alignment of internal resources with target industries.

As Vice President, Multi-Industry Division, Bob will lead a team of IT professionals in delivering next-generation ERP software including Acumatica Construction Edition, Acumatica Cloud ERP for Distribution and Acumatica Manufacturing Edition, services and support to mid-market companies. He is responsible for managing and maintaining vendor relationships, employee on-boarding and training, and practice sales and service growth.
Bob is an experienced business executive and IT consultant. Prior to being named a vice president, he successfully managed Aktion’s highly profitable Infor A+ practice. He managed more than 20 application consultants and software engineers. Bob’s hands-on, respectful approach to building a successful practice empowered his team to provide the highest level of customer service.
Prior to joining Aktion in 2006, Bob was president of Piranha Hose Products, a multi-million dollar, worldwide distributor of high-pressure hoses. Bob attended the University of Cincinnati where he studied Civil Engineering.
