Aktion's commitment to the health and safety of our community.

At Aktion Associates, the health and well-being of our employees, customers and communities is a top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Aktion is committed to being responsive to the needs of our employees and customers as the situation evolves.

With guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), we feel it is important to share with you the steps we’re taking and the protocols in place to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, through April 15, 2020, Aktion has implemented a work restriction policy. We have asked all employees that work in the four physical office locations to work from home.

The exceptions to this policy are Aktion’s Data Center and Network Operations Center (NOC) employees in Maumee, Ohio and Charlotte, North Carolina. The work from home restriction does not apply to these employees. With more than 500 customers who rely on our NOC for daily systems operation, our goal is to continue to provide this service in an uninterrupted fashion.

Additionally, we have implemented travel restrictions for all employees for the same 30-day period. If it is necessary for an employee to travel to a customer location and be onsite, we’re requiring customers to provide Aktion with a “consent to travel” request. This request can be a simple email acknowledgment from the customer providing written approval for an Aktion employee to be onsite at their facility.

Aktion’s travel restrictions are at the discretion of the Aktion employee. This means should the employee choose to travel or go onsite to a customer facility, the employee is doing so at his/her discretion.

We understand these restrictions may cause issues for you. Please realize that we already have in place a business structure that facilitates remote interaction and engagement. We have tools and resources that allow our staff to deliver support to customers without requiring travel or an onsite visit.

The work restriction policy is aimed at protecting our two greatest assets, our employees and customers. I’m confident that all Aktion employees will team together to continue to provide the support and interaction customers expect.
