Goodin is a manufacturer and distributor of fashion jewelry that needed an ERP system to manage sales orders, purchase orders, inventory, and accounting. The system had to be efficient in order to process a large daily volume of orders and customizable in order to support both current and future business processes. The new software needed to support several sales models including a make-to-order process as well as a make-to-stock process for distribution through several sales channels such as Amazon.com, jewelry wholesalers, and retail outlets. The company purchased a NetSuite solution in 2005 to solve this problem, but slow computations, lack of reliability, and shaky support led J. Goodin to look for more established companies. After spending over $160,000 on a SAP Business One solution, the company decided to go with Acumatica.
About: J. Goodin
Location: Brea, CA
Acumatica provided us with a web-based solution that we could install on-premise. This provided on-the-go access to data without locking us into a SaaS provider.
