As of Dec. 31, 2010, Aktion Associates joined the Intacct partner program.
Aktion selected Intacct as its first cloud financial system after a comprehensive review of competing solutions on the market. Intacct stood out for its intuitive user interface, robust functionality and low total cost of ownership. Aktion executives were also impressed by the ease with which the Intacct applications can be customized to the specific needs of the customer in their target industries.
According to Scott Irwin, President, Aktion Associates, it remains unknown as to the market potential for cloud accounting software solutions. "If you listen to industry analysts, they are predicting that cloud solutions will generate significant market share by 2015. We are cautious of industry analysts' predictions but believe that some market share penetration will be achieved by cloud or SaaS solutions and it is Aktion’s goal to participate in this highly publicized growth market. We have not represented a cross industry accounting software solution within our product portfolio in the past and we anticipate that the product functionality and platform will be well received in the “m” portion of the SMB market, Aktion’s focus in the marketplace," Irwin said.
The Intacct Business Partner Program enables companies like Aktion Associates to gain new recurring revenue streams, while delivering improved services and enhanced product offerings to clients. As part of the program, Intacct provides extensive training, marketing and sales support, as well as assistance developing new applications and new vertical solutions.
