Java J2EE Software Architect, Web Development:

This full-time position is responsible for delivering end-to-end custom website development projects.  Post implementation client relationship management skills are necessary to provide our customers with a world class IT partner experience.  The position requires extensive knowledge of Plone, Python and Java technologies as well as integration architecture concepts.  Candidate must be professional, highly organized and motivated. This person will work from our Maumee, OH office.

Responsibilities:

·         Provide strategic website consulting, design, development, and training for new Plone deployment and/or eCommerce projects

·         Design and estimate projects based on client scope of work

·         Acquire and maintain a solid knowledge of web development technologies

·         Provide account management support for existing customers and maintain client relationships

 

Requirements:

·         Technical expertise in Java, J2EE, DHTML (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), SQL, WebSphere, SQL Server, XML, HTTP server (Apache, IIS or IBM HTTP Server) and Internet communication technologies – e.g. HTTP and HTTPS protocols & security certificates

·         Technical expertise in Plone, Zope and Python

·         Windows Server and Linux knowledge is a plus

·         Prior experience with content management systems (e.g. Plone, Drupal, Joomla)

·         Extensive knowledge of web development concepts and techniques with 10 years minimum experience

·         Excellent communication and problem solving skills

·         Willing to travel up to 25%

·         Secondary education with degree

 

Senior Delphi Software Application Developer:

This full-time position will work from the Maumee, OH office and will perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of Delphi programming procedures and data processing requirements. Additional responsibilities include the maintenance, modification, support and implementation of a custom application.

Responsibilities:

·         Code, test and troubleshoot custom application utilizing Delphi programming technology

·         Maintain and modify custom application

·         Make approved customer changes and add logic to the base application

·         Test and develop programming modifications

·         Write new program code using prescribed specifications

·         Support customer application questions

·         Assist in Implementation and Training for new customers

·         Write and maintain programming documentation

·         Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed

·         Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference

·         Assist personnel in other departments as a technical resource

 

Requirements:

·         Knowledge of Delphi programming procedures and programming languages.

·         Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.

·         Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications.

·         Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes.

·         Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications.

·         Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.

·         Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.

·         Good communication and interpersonal skills

·         Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of programming experience desired

·         Knowledge of Microsoft SQL practice and procedure

 

Network Engineer and Virtualization Specialist:

Aktion Associates maintains the highest partnership levels with several of our major partners which include IBM (Premier Business Partner), Microsoft (Gold Partner), VMware (Enterprise Partner), Citrix (Silver Partner), EMC and are working on several additional partnerships including Cisco. We are looking to grow our Virtualization and Business Resiliency practices and need a highly motivated person interested in a technical lead position for design, installation and support of these solutions. This candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience with Intel based Networking Infrastructures, BladeCenter Technology, VMware, SAN and Fiber Switch and Security technologies.  Certifications in these areas are strongly desired but are not a requirement.  Candidate should also have experience with Linux and Microsoft platforms as well as Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.  This person will report to and work out of our Columbus, OH office and will be responsible for servicing our customers in and around the Columbus, OH area.

 

Call Center/Telemarketing Representative:

This full-time position is responsible for opportunity identification. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to make 60+ outgoing calls per day required. Must be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office. Knowledge of information technology, including software, hardware, and networking a major plus.  Must be organized, self- motivated and can work well within in a team setting or independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Must be customer-oriented and have previous cold calling/telemarketing experience.  Experience in IT/computer software industry a plus. Secondary education desired.

 

Infor A+ Consultant:

This full-time position is responsible for partnering with installed Infor A+ customers in the US to upgrade/maintain their A+ solution. Position requires extensive knowledge of Wholesale Distribution/Light Manufacturing industries, and their processes/procedures. Knowledge/understanding of A+ application and underlying technology required. Previous application consulting experience required. Candidate must be professional, highly organized and motivated. Secondary education with degree desired. 

 

A+ RPG Developer:

This full-time position will work with installed A+ customers to modify/upgrade their A+ application. 10 years RPG coding and A+ application experience required. Wholesale Distribution/Light Manufacturing industries experience desired but not required. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work autonomously or in a team setting a must. Secondary education with degree desired.

 

Deltek Vision Application Consultant:

Applicant must have consulting or end user Deltek Vision application experience.  Deltek Vision is a leading enterprise software solution designed for professional services firms to improve business performance and streamline operations by automating the planning, tracking and administration of resources and projects. An understanding of business processes and IT technologies, ability to manage multiple projects, strong personal relationship building skills, and project management experience is required.  This position is based in the Columbus/Cincinnati area. Position may require up to 75% travel. Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT field desired.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Please include resume, salary requirements and three references.

 

Informix 4GL Programmer/System Analyst:

Aktion has an immediate opening for an Informix 4GL Programmer/System Analyst in the Toledo, Ohio area.  Duties and Responsibilities include: develop expert knowledge of application functionality and processes; analyze, evaluate and document change requirements for the applications through system research and end-user requests; research and resolve application problems; develop, modify, test, document and implement new application programs while following established guidelines; become knowledgeable in the use, functionality and maintenance of application ancillary support products. Successful candidates will have at least 5 years programming experience or equivalent educational background; technical skills as required to meet the needs of the IT function, including currently applicable programming languages, Informix 4GL, and or Genero’s 4Js; PHP programming knowledge. The successful candidate will be a team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to take initiative to work independently and follow-through on assignments; excellent trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills; good written and oral communication skills; and have a strong desire to develop business knowledge to support customers.
