Network/Software Engineering Positions:
Aktion is seeking highly motivated individuals to accommodate recent and planned future growth. We currently have positions available for Network and Software Engineers. Both positions require 10+ years experience with associated Microsoft Technologies. Certifications in Microsoft’s competencies considered a plus. Network Engineers should be experienced in the current Microsoft Server, Exchange and SQL technologies. Strong network engineering capabilities with switches, routers, firewalls and other network components required. Experience and certifications with VMware and Storage would be considered in our decision. Software Engineers should be current on the Microsoft Software Development stack and provide a portfolio of current projects, both web-based and private. Leading candidates will possess conceptual and detail design capabilities and software development best practices. Candidates must be able to lead conversations with the customer to understand their business problems in order to provide proper specifications and accurate estimates of cost and delivery expectations. Website/Graphics/Content Developer:
Aktion has an immediate opening for a full-time Website/Graphics developer. Successful candidate will be experienced in: Current Web Development Trends and Best Practices, Static and Dynamic websites, SEO Optimization Strategies (Google AdWords experience a plus), Google Analytic Tools, Website Graphic Development, Website Copy Content, HTML Development with high level CSS experience, Working with eCommerce. Responsibilities include develop websites and maintain SEO for Aktion customers, as well as revise and enhance Aktion's internal web sites. Secondary duties include development of Aktion corporate marketing materials including print ads and flyers. Successful candidate must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize/manage multiple projects; deliver on-time and on budget; present him/herself in a professional manner. Strong creative background and excellent communication skills are essential. Required skills include Adobe InDesign Suite, PHP, some JavaScript, knowledge of ecommerce functionality; demonstrated skill in creative layout/design/website architecture; as well as leading website development tool sets. Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication, Interactive Multi-Media or related degree desired. Aktion Associates offers a competitive wage. Salary is commensurate with experience. Java J2EE Software Architect, Web Development:
Aktion has an immediate opening for a Java J2EE Software Architect for Web Development. This full-time position is responsible for delivering end-to-end custom website development projects. Post implementation, client relationship management skills are necessary to provide our customers with a world class IT partner experience. Position requires extensive knowledge of Plone, Python and Java technologies as well as integration architecture concepts. Candidate must be professional, highly organized and motivated. Job Requirements: Extensive knowledge of web development concepts and techniques with 10 years minimum experience; Technical expertise in Java, J2EE, DHTML (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), SQL, WebSphere, SQL Server, XML, HTTP server (Apache, IIS or IBM HTTP Server) and Internet communication technologies – e.g. HTTP and HTTPS protocols & security certificates; Technical expertise in Plone, Zope and Python; Prior experience with content management systems (e.g. Plone, Drupal, Joomla); Excellent communication and problem solving skills; Willing to travel up to 25%; Windows Server and Linux knowledge a plus. Territory Sales Representative:
Aktion Associates is looking for a Territory Sales Representative for the NW Ohio and Michigan geography. This sales rep will work with new account opportunities and Aktion customers for business and technology solution sales providing solution quotes including technology products and services. This role requires 5-10 years of direct sales experience and familiarity and background with current leading edge technology products (Microsoft, IBM- Power and Systems x, HP, VMware, Citrix, Dell, Cisco, Symantec, etc.). Must have strong communication skills (oral and written), good organization and multitasking skills and be able to work independently to complete their daily tasks as well as be a team player to work with our technology team on sales opportunities.

Call Center/Telemarketing Representative:
This full-time position is responsible for opportunity identification. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to make 60+ outgoing calls per day required. Must be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office. Knowledge of information technology, including software, hardware, and networking a major plus. Must be organized, self- motivated and can work well within in a team setting or independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be customer-oriented and have previous cold calling/telemarketing experience. Experience in IT/computer software industry a plus. Secondary education desired.

Position requires extensive knowledge of Wholesale Distribution/Light Manufacturing industries, and their processes/procedures. Knowledge/understanding of A+ application and underlying technology required. Previous application consulting experience required. Candidate must be professional, highly organized and motivated. Secondary education with degree desired.

Informix 4GL Programmer/System Analyst:
Aktion has an immediate opening for an Informix 4GL Programmer/System Analyst in the Toledo, Ohio area. Duties and Responsibilities include: develop expert knowledge of application functionality and processes; analyze, evaluate and document change requirements for the applications through system research and end-user requests; research and resolve application problems; develop, modify, test, document and implement new application programs while following established guidelines; become knowledgeable in the use, functionality and maintenance of application ancillary support products. Successful candidates will have at least 5 years programming experience or equivalent educational background; technical skills as required to meet the needs of the IT function, including currently applicable programming languages, Informix 4GL, and or Genero’s 4Js; PHP programming knowledge. The successful candidate will be a team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to take initiative to work independently and follow-through on assignments; excellent trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills; good written and oral communication skills; and have a strong desire to develop business knowledge to support customers.
